NJI: Celebrating 15 Years in Style
To mark NJI’s 15th anniversary, I led the branding and creative direction for a year-long celebration designed to awaken the senses and immerse both clients and staff in the agency’s ethos.
Global guests received a custom-designed silk scarf as an invitation to gather at the Kreeger Museum in Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, they were guided through interactive experiences engaging all five senses—reinforcing NJI’s core belief: persistent curiosity is the greatest act of rebellion.
The art direction was driven by a deep longing for tactile, sensory-rich design, a response to the deprivation of touch experienced during the pandemic. The event featured immersive activations centered around the five senses, inviting guests to reawaken and reconnect.
Traditionally, the 15th anniversary is marked by crystal. I reimagined this symbolism through black obsidian—a stone forged under intense pressure and heat—reflecting NJI’s resilience, transformation, and bold creative spirit.
